A derby hat, or "bowler", as our cousins across the pond would call it. Popular with the working class in the latter half of the 19th century, this hat has a rich history of worldwide wear. It has since become a symbol of the British middle and upper class, but still is worn by bluegrass musicians, cowboy action shooters, and masters of Masonic lodges-- as well as Sirs Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart!
